Welcome to the Practice Room!
Eighth Edition: Integrating Set Up & Shifting
Welcome to the eighth installment of The Practice Room! I'm delighted to have you here. This is an ongoing space for thoughtful, structured, and inspiring practice, where letting go of discouragement and welcoming curiosity is encouraged!
This month, we’re integrating concepts we've been exploring surrounding Posture, Form and Shifting into the rich and emotive 3rd movement Andante from Rachmaninoff's Sonata for Cello and Piano in G Minor, Op.19.
We’ll be gathering throughout the month for a Foundational Training, PLAY Session, Studio Class, plus you are warmly invited to participate in a relaxed Community Chat — details are outlined below.
Your Set Up & Shifting Integration Companion lives just below this message.
With your cello, Set Up & Shifting Companion, and (recommended) notebook and pencil to hand, I hope to see you at our Foundational Training this Thursday, March 5th at 10am PT! And if you can't make it live, don't forget that all the sessions are recorded (and posted here throughout the month) for your viewing/review.
Start where you are,
Take your time, and
Enjoy the journey.
